Our First Place Day Nursery in Beaconsfield is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Deputy Manager to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity and helping them thrive every day.
Some of the reasons you will love working at First Place
- You'll be joining a beautiful brand-new, purpose-built nursery, designed to give children the very best start in life. Each age group has its own dedicated garden with direct outdoor access, creating plenty of opportunities for fresh air, exploration and outdoor play throughout the day.
- We love making the most of our local community too, with regular trips to the nearby park and exciting Forest School experiences that encourage children to discover, explore and build confidence in the great outdoors.
- One of our favourite features is our growing and baking experience. Children can plant, nurture and harvest their own fruit, vegetables and herbs before taking their freshly picked produce into our kitchen to cook and bake. It's a wonderful way for children to learn where food comes from while developing confidence, independence and a love of healthy eating through fun, hands-on experiences.
About Our Nursery
At our beautiful Beaconsfield nursery, you'll become part of a friendly and supportive team that is passionate about giving children the very best start in life. We have created a warm, home from home environment where children feel happy, confident and excited to learn every day.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
