Hopscotch Children’s Nurseries in Hove is looking for a dedicated and detail-oriented Nursery Housekeeper to join our team.

Position: Nursery Housekeeper

Location: Brighton

Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8.5 hours per day Monday to Friday

Salary: £13.26 per hour

Holidays: 28 days (including Bank Holidays)

About Us

At Hopscotch Children’s Nurseries, we believe that a clean and safe environment is essential for children to explore, learn, and grow. Our nurseries are known for their warm, welcoming atmosphere and commitment to high standards. As a Nursery Housekeeper, you will play a vital role in maintaining this environment and supporting our staff and children.

What You’ll Do:

  • Ensure the nursery is kept clean, tidy, and hygienic at all times.
  • Carry out daily cleaning tasks such as vacuuming, dusting, mopping, and sanitizing.
  • Maintain cleanliness in shared spaces, including classrooms, kitchens, and bathrooms.
  • Support with laundry, including washing, drying, and organizing.
  • Monitor and replenish cleaning supplies as needed.
  • Support the nursery team with childcare duties during the lunchtime period for a minimum of two hours each day. This may include supervising children, assisting with mealtimes, maintaining ratios, and helping to create a safe, positive and engaging environment.
  • Work closely with the nursery team to ensure a safe and pleasant environment for children, parents, and staff.

What You Bring to the Team:

  • Experience in cleaning, housekeeping, or a similar role (preferably in a childcare or educational setting).
  • An eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • A friendly and positive attitude.
