Are you ready to lead, inspire, and make a lasting impact on children’s lives? At The Old Station Nursery, we’re seeking a passionate Nursery Manager to guide our team and deliver exceptional care and education.
About the Role

To be considered for this role, you must hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification or above. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in an Early Years leadership role, ideally as a:
- Nursery Manager
- Deputy Manager
- Assistant Manager
- Similar leadership position
Requirements
Qualifications
- Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above) is required
Experience & Knowledge
- Proven experience in Nursery Management or comparable roles
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS framework and best practices in early years education
- Strong leadership skills to inspire teams
- Experience in mentoring professionals and driving team performance
Essential Skills
- Excellent communication and organisation
- Ability to build positive relationships with families and colleagues
- Proactive, solutions-focused mindset
- Commitment to training, development, and compliance

Pay & Hours
- Salary: £35,360 per annum (based on experience, 40 hours per week)
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 38–40 hours per week
- Shift Times: .8am–6pm or 7.30am–6pm (over 4 days, flexible day off)

The Old Station Nursery 54-56 Mottershead Drive Innsworth, Gloucestershire, GL3 1EH On-street parking available.
What Being a Nursery Manager Involves
As a Nursery Manager, you’ll:
- Lead, manage, and inspire your team to deliver high-quality care and education
- Create a stimulating environment for children’s all-round development
- Build positive relationships with families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Oversee nursery operations, including:
- Staff schedules
- Budgeting
- Health and safety
- EYFS compliance and Ofsted standards
- Act as a mentor to foster a culture of continuous improvement
- Promote nursery values in daily practice
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and safety
- Confidently lead inspections and accurate record-keeping
