These clusters are supported by functional specialists and a central Support Office based in Basingstoke, Hampshire. Role Description
The Nursery Manager role at Grandir UK is a full-time, on-site position based in Surbiton. The Nursery Manager oversees the day-to-day running of the nursery, ensuring high standards of care, education, and safeguarding for all children.

- Leading and supporting the staff team
- Managing nursery occupancy and admissions
- Maintaining compliance with regulatory and health and safety requirements
- Implementing policies and procedures
- Building positive relationships with children, families, and external partners
- Monitoring the quality of the curriculum and learning environment
- Driving continuous improvement through observation, planning, and review
Operational Tasks
- Budgeting
- Resource management
- Staff scheduling
- Reporting to regional and central support colleagues
Qualifications
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and practice, including Safeguarding and Safeguarding Children skills
- Experience working in a Nursery setting, with a solid understanding of early years care and education
- Proven Nursery Management capabilities, including team leadership, compliance oversight, and operational management
- Excellent Communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with children, families, colleagues, and external agencies
- Relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 or above in Early Years Education/Childcare) and sound knowledge of the EYFS framework
- Experience in supervising or leading a team in an early years environment, with a focus on coaching and performance management
- Strong organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements, health and safety standards, and inclusive practice in early years settings
