Nursery Manager

Hatching Dragons – Leadership & Growth Opportunity

Who We Are

Hatching Dragons is more than a nursery—it’s an early years development specialist, dedicated to shaping neurological, emotional, and cognitive growth through a structured philosophy called the ‘3C curriculum’: Culture, Character, and Cognition.

  • Findational focus: The first five years of a child’s life define their neurological development—we don’t waste a moment.
  • Multilingual education: Structured linguistics woven into every interaction.
  • Fresh, nutritionally balanced meals: Prepared by a commercial chef daily.
  • Clinically grounded mental health: Anna Freud Centre partnership for staff, children, and families.
  • Expansion phase: Building regional, national, and international presence—new settings, services, and leadership roles.

This role isn’t management. It’s growth—shaping the future of early years education.

The Opportunity

Welcome to Hatching Dragons Westminster, a Pimlico-based nursery undergoing a capacity doubling (2026 launch). You’ll be a full-scope nursery leader, coordinating a high-energy team, boosting Ofsted standards, driving growth, and looking beyond Westminster.

You’ll lead a team but also advise senior management, influencing our next steps nationally and globally.

The Role: What You’ll Do

Leadership & Culture

  • Inspire and hold accountable a growing team—room leaders, apprentices, and cohort leads—building a culture that retains talent and elevates performance.
  • Model the Hatching Dragons philosophy: High standards, warmth, and 3C consistency in every interaction.
  • Tight standards with coaching—not micromanaging—to realise full potential.

Educational Quality & The 3C Curriculum

  • Ensure Hatching Dragons’ 3C framework is taught daily across all rooms.
  • Lead exceptional Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) practice, prioritising Outstanding Ofsted outcomes.
  • Oversee child-specific developmental support—including the Development Support Plan (DSP) framework.
  • Champion multilingual language development and the World Food Day programme.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
