As a Nursery Manager at N Family, your role is to lead a team of passionate Educators, delivering incredible learning experiences, seamless customer service, and a thriving workplace culture. You’ll manage operations and compliance while championing The N Way—that hustle of ambition, innovation & love.
From sparking young minds to driving Wildly Important Goals (WIGs), you’ll shape the future of early-years education.
Key Responsibilities
- Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment ensuring everyone thrives as a team.
- Lead educators to deliver outstanding early-years education aligned with our N Pedagogy & Curriculum framework.
- Manage a team—recruit, develop, and nurture highly skilled Educators while fostering a brilliant workplace culture.
- Champion safeguarding & well-being, acting as Designated Safeguarding Lead when required.
- Ensure commercial success while maintaining standards of outstanding quality—budgets, performance, and Jennifer Aniston-worthy team morale.
- Oversight of health & safety, risk assessments, and EYFS compliance to keep the nursery running smoothly.
- Engage the local community and partners—representing N Family with pride while driving connections and growth.
- Keep innovation alive with continuous improvement—always aiming for outstandingly outstanding practice.
- Drive culture with positive ambassadorship, flexibility, enthusiasm, entrepreneurship, and love—because every day should be epic.

Essential Requirements
- Two years of prior experience as a Nursery Manager (strictly required).
- Some experience in hiring, retaining, and training new team members.
- Knowledge of local authority, institutional and regulatory requirements—EYFS compliance, inspections, and safeguarding inspections across the UK.
- Skilled in deployment, performance management, budgeting, and reporting.
- Proven track record of consistent and exceptional customer service.
- Full and relevant Level 3 Early Years Qualification (or above). Level 6 (degree) considered a HUGE plus!
- Current 12-hour Paediatric First Aid (PFA) certification, alongside First Aid at Work qualifications—with commitment to staying compliant.
- Completed safeguarding/child protection training, with a commitment to regular updates.
- A genuine passion for education and changing children’s lives.
- Ability to build strong parent partnerships—relationships matter!
- A leader who delivers results, embracing challenges and driving Wildly Important Goals (WIGs).
