Role Description

The Nursery Manager role is a full-time, on-site position based in the London Area, United Kingdom. The Nursery Manager will oversee the daily operation of the nursery, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children in line with UK safeguarding and regulatory standards.

  • Managing rosters
  • Overseeing curriculum planning
  • Ensuring high-quality care and learning experiences
  • Building positive relationships with families

  • Compliance with Ofsted and local authority requirements

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of safeguarding and safeguarding children practices, with a clear understanding of UK Safer Recruitment and Ofsted standards.
  • Proven experience in nursery and nursery management, including staff supervision, operational oversight, and curriculum delivery in an early years setting.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with children, families, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
  • Relevant early years qualification (e.g., Level 3 or above in Early Years / Childcare) and up-to-date paediatric first aid and safeguarding training.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team-building, and problem-solving abilities, with strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with compliance, record-keeping, and quality assurance processes in early years environments.
  • Familiarity with UK early years frameworks (such as the EYFS) and experience supporting inclusive, child-centered practice.
