Nursery Manager
Surbiton, London | KT6 | £49,920 | Full-Time, 40 hours per week
Opening Hours 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
Love Childcare Recruitment is looking for an experienced Nursery Manager to join one of the UK's most recognisable and successful organisations in the childcare and early years sector. About the Role
Set in a peaceful position just off a main road in a beautifully converted building, this nursery is within walking distance of Surbiton station and offers a wide variety of activities and opportunities for children attending, including a forest school, sports, yoga, language lessons, a library, and even a growing garden.
Catering for 69 children daily, with nearly 100 children on roll, this role would perfectly suit an experienced Nursery Manager who is looking for their next step or new challenge in widely respected organisation. Some of your main responsibilities will include:
- Promoting high standards of quality within the nursery in respect of the environment, resources and experiences offered to children
- Responsibility for all administrative duties associated with the nursery
- Being responsible for ensuring the nursery remains fully compliant at all times
- Recruiting, inducting, supporting, training and appraising all staff to ensure delivery of high-quality childcare practice
- Deployment of staff appropriately to ensure that the required standards are delivered and maintained within the rooms
- Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
- Ensure that all staff develop and maintain friendly, professional relationships with parents and carers
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers

You Will Need
- A full and relevant level 3 (or above) childcare qualification
- Proven experience managing or leading in an Early Years/Nursery environment with a coaching approach to developing a team of staff
- Comprehensive knowledge of the EYFS Framework
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Proven experience and evidence of improving performance
- The ability to build strong, nurturing relationships with all stakeholders
- A passion for childcare and child development
