About the Role
We are seeking a passionate and committed Nursery Nurse to join our dynamic nursery serving two, three, and four-year-olds. This opportunity allows you to be part of a new, growing early years provision and contribute to shaping young children’s educational journeys from the very beginning.
Lift Hamford is a vibrant, Lift Schools-linked nursery that received a good inspection in November 2022. Located in our coastal community, we prioritise high-quality early years education, ensuring children receive the best opportunity for success.
As a Nursery Nurse, your role is central to delivering exceptional early years care and education, nurturing relationships with children and families, and fostering a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate engaging learning activities tailored to young children’s needs
- Build trusting relationships with a key group of children and their families/parents
- Observe and assess children’s development, contributing to EYFS profiles and learning records
- Support children with SEN (Special Educational Needs) and promote inclusive practice
- Foster language development, independence, confidence, and personal care skills
- Maintain a safe, stimulating, and welcoming nursery setting indoor and outdoor
- Collaborate with colleagues and external professionals to support each child’s progress

Requirements
To be considered for this role, you must have:
- A Level 3 qualification in Early Years Education and Childcare (or equivalent)
- Experience working with children aged 2–5 in a school, daycare, or nursery setting
- Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework, observation, and assessment methodologies
- A caring, professional, and proactive approach to supporting young learners
- Confidence in teamworking, communication with families, and collaboration with external professionals
- A ** genuine passion for early years education** and a belief in every child’s potential
