The role:

At Next we have a great opportunity for a Level 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our onsite nursery at the Next Head Office in Leicester. Rated OUTSTANDING in all areas by Ofsted, our setting offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated Early Years professional to drive the highest standards of childcare. Here, you will combine a nurturing, child-centered philosophy with a high-profile professional infrastructure, providing a safe, stimulating, and inclusive environment where every child and your career can truly thrive.

You will also have the potential to earn a discretionary 10% attendance bonus, increasing your earning potential to £14.44 per hour.

This is a part time position working 32 hours per week 9.00am-6.00pm Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday & Friday.

What you'll take on:

  • Plan and implement sophisticated, age-appropriate activities that challenge and inspire individual development.
  • Manage comprehensive "Records of Achievement" for your allocated children, ensuring their milestones are documented with care.
  • Act as a professional point of contact for families, fostering a collaborative approach to their child’s learning journey.
  • Work closely with parents of children with SEND to ensure seamless integration and tailored support.
  • Maintain a culture of vigilance, adhering to strict safeguarding and Health & Safety protocols to ensure a secure environment.
  • Oversee the well being of children, including nutritional needs, hygiene, and providing a comforting environment for rest and recovery.

What you'll bring:

  • A recognised Level 3 Nursery qualification (or working towards it) and a strong command of English.
  • Deep practical knowledge of the EYFS curriculum and a proven track record of purposeful planning.
  • The ability to liaise confidently with parents, carers, and senior management while maintaining strict confidentiality.
  • An enthusiastic, energetic, and flexible approach. You should be someone who leads by example and is willing to support the team across all areas of the nursery operation.
