About The Role
Are you a qualified Level 2 or Level 3 Nursery Practitioner looking for a rewarding early years role in Plymouth?
We are recruiting an enthusiastic Early Years Educator to join a welcoming team. This full-time role (8:00 AM - 6:00 PM) offers a vibrant working environment where you can actively shape the learning and development of local children.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
As a Nursery Practitioner in Plymouth, your daily tasks will include:
- Delivering EYFS Learning: Designing and leading creative, play-based educational activities following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Key Person System: Tracking individual developmental milestones, maintaining learning journeys, and conducting progress assessments.
- Providing Quality Care: Ensuring a safe, clean, nurturing, and emotionally supportive environment for babies and young children.
- Parental Partnership: Building positive daily communication channels with parents and carers regarding their child's routine and progress.
- Safeguarding and Health: Following strict safeguarding procedures, maintaining nursery hygiene, and carrying out risk assessments.

Requirements And Qualifications
- Qualified: NVQ / CACHE / NCFE Level 2 or Level 3 in Childcare, Early Years, or equivalent.
- Knowledge: Up-to-date working knowledge of the EYFS framework and safeguarding policies.
- Experience: Experience working within a UK early years setting, nursery, or preschool.
- DBS: An Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willing to complete one).
- Skills: Excellent communication, reliability, and a genuine passion for early childhood development.
