Salary: £28,142 - £30,410 (depending on experience and qualifications with regular pay reviews)

Our Dicky Birds Day Nursery in Pelham Road is looking for a caring and enthusiastic Nursery Practitioner to join our team. You will play a key role in caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, encouraging curiosity, and helping them thrive every day.

Activities
We offer a range of engaging activities tailored to every stage of development, from babies to preschoolers. Forest School sessions take learning outdoors, encouraging exploration, teamwork, and problem-solving, while our PE sessions build confidence, coordination, and a love of physical activity through fun, energetic play.

Children benefit from regular outings to places such as Wimbledon Common, local libraries, and farms, helping them explore their community and enjoy hands-on learning experiences.
Location and Travel
Located on a quiet residential street on Pelham Road, our welcoming nursery is just a short walk from Wimbledon High Street and close to Wimbledon Station, with excellent bus links for easy commuting.
Dicky Birds is unique in offering multiple nurseries within each area. You can also find our other Wimbledon settings on Queens Road and Dundonald Road, as well as nearby in Raynes Park and Surbiton—all providing the same warm, nurturing environment and exceptional care for your child.
What will you be doing
- Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
- Support and supervise playroom staff with their day-to-day duties
- Ensure that practice and provision in the nursery meets the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
- Provide professional, relevant feedback to parents/carers about their child
- Promote the nursery to current parents and potential customers
- Develop open and positive working relationships with staff
