Nursery Practitioner

Early Years Practitioner – Bright Horizons Gaynes Park Day Nursery and Preschool

Salary & Hours

  • £29,868.80 per annum (dependent on qualification/s and experience)
  • Full-Time (40 hours, Monday to Friday)

Our Upminster nursery, conveniently located near Onsite car park & buggy park, Upminster station, and the Upminster Bridge tube, is looking for a passionate Early Years Practitioner to join our team. We believe in fostering an environment where success is celebrated with pride: “I did that.”

The Role

As your duties ensure children thrive in an environment that stimulates curiosity, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning. You’ll:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, tailored activities that nurture children’s development towards key milestones.
  • Create a safe, stimulating space where children can explore their potential and express themselves freely.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with children, colleagues, and parents/carers to support holistic growth.

Person Specification

Love of working with young children and inspiring ready-to-learn ” little global citizens.

  • Fully qualified (or intending to be) in Level 3 Extended Diploma in Early Years, Degree QCF Level 3 Early Years or Paediatric Nurse/Teach QTS/QTLS or equivalent
  • Belief in the importance of play as the primary learning tool for children
  • Knowledge of EYFS Framework, child development, and early years safeguarding practices
  • Ability to lead diverse group settings with fairness and consistency
  • Strong working relationships within a joint nursery/pre-school team
  • Safeguarding and child protection awareness central to everything you do
