Nursery Practitioner

Nursery Practitioner – Harpenden Day Nursery & Preschool

Half of Grandir UK

Salary: £12.71–£14.62 per hour (dependent on experience & qualifications with regular reviews) Flexible & supportive environment with genuine career progression.


About the Role

Join our child-focused team at Harpenden Day Nursery and play a pivotal role in caring for, supporting, and inspiring our children, fostering curiosity and helping them grow every day.

Core Responsibilities

  • Promote high standards of quality within the nursery
  • Support and supervise playroom staff in their daily duties
  • Allocate staff effectively to maintain room-specific standards
  • Ensure proper implementation of keycarer procedures and child allocation policies
  • Uphold Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) standards
  • Provide professional feedback to parents/carers about their child’s progress
  • Actively contribute to nursery promotion for current and prospective families
  • Foster open, positive relationships with colleagues, parents, and carers

Our lovely Harpenden nursery and preschool is housed in a beautiful converted house, set in a leafy residential area. We offer a small, homely, yet highly modern environment with:
