As an Early Years Educator, you will play a leading role in fostering the intellectual, social, and emotional development of children at Busy Bees, a UK-leading nursery group with nearly 400 nurseries across the country.

Eligibility and Qualifications

Busy Bees operates from an Ofsted Outstanding-rated nursery in Leamington Spa, with a capacity of 122 children. Our management and core team bring over 20 years of combined experience and focus on delivering exceptional care and developmental support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, deliver, and adapt activities that foster engagement, learning, and holistic development for children (0–5).

  • Create safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environments tailored to diverse needs.

  • Take on the role of the Key Person—building trusting relationships with children and their families.

  • Track developmental progress through observations and assessments, sharing insights with parents and colleagues.

  • Maintain a clean, hygienic, and engaging environment at all times.

  • Support safeguarding policies to ensure child welfare and staff accountability.

  • **Collaborate with colleagues—**including early year professionals, ofsted–defined assessors, and leadership—to enhance curriculum delivery.

  • Administer care within group sizes and staffing ratios: 1 adult to 4 toddlers (1:4), and 1 adult to 1 baby (0-18 months, 1:3 under 1 year).

Requirements

  • Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in childhood care and education (EYE, NVQ 2, or Diploma).
  • Experience working with young children is essential and previous roles such as Early Years Educator, Nursery Practitioner, Assistant, or Nurse are preferred.
  • Understanding of early years development principles, including learning and play-based strategies.
  • Empathy and emotional intelligence—ability to nurture individual needs.
  • Strong communication (both verbal and written) with families and colleagues.
  • Organisational skills to efficiently manage multi-child classes and administrative tasks.
