Nursery – Early Years Practitioner (Baby Room) at Bright Horizons Basildon
Location Nursery – Bright Horizons Basildon Day Nursery and Preschool c/o David Lloyd Club, Pipps Hill Road South, Festival Leisure Park, Basildon, Essex, SS14 3DG (Onsite car park, close to Basildon Station)
Salary Starting from £28,072.60 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience)
Working Hours Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday (Shift flexibility: 40 hours over 4 or 5 days)
About the Role

The Role
As an Early Years Practitioner, you’ll be instrumental in fostering engaging, developmental learning for our youngest children. In detail, you’ll:
- Plan, create, and implement activities tailored to each child’s individual milestones and developmental needs.
- Design a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment that sparks curiosity, creativity, and confidence.
- Encourage self-expression, cognitive growth, and a lifelong love of learning.
- Work in collaboration with teams, under delighted families, and within frameworks like the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

What We’re Looking For
Essential Requirements
- A full and relevant Level 3 (or higher) Early Years qualification.
- A **teaching passion for fun, inclusive, and developmentally aware learning.
- Solid knowledge and application of the EYFS framework.
- Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection practices.
- Ability to build strong, trusting relationships with both colleagues and parents/carers.
