Job Introduction

Role: Nursery Practitioner (Lunch Cover). Location: Grasshoppers Day Nursery | Aylesbury | HP21 9PD. Contract: Permanent | 20 hours/week | 52 weeks/year. Working Pattern: 10:00-14:00 | Monday to Friday. Salary: £12.87–£16.22 per hour.

About You
Key Responsibilities
You’ll uphold our ethos of nurturing, inspirational care:
- Nurturing care: Hold experience (or a DfE-approved Level 2+ early years qualification) caring for babies and children under five, ideally in early years settings.
- Inspiration & play: Use child development (and EYFS knowledge) to deliver engaging activities—supporting observations for learning journeys.
- Safeguarding champion: Promote a safe, inclusive environment where every child is valued and happy, with their well-being at the heart.
- Team player: Collaborate with parents, teachers, and colleagues for positive, engaging relationships.
