About the Role
As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a key role in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children aged 0–3, with occasional support for children up to 11 years old. Your responsibilities include:
- Planning and delivering engaging learning activities aligned with the Early Years Foundation Stage Framework.
- Supporting children’s development, ensuring their wellbeing, curiosity, and positive relationships.
- Conducting observations, collaborating with parents, carers, and colleagues.
- Building a warm, inclusive nursery community.
- Assisting in school-wide events, staff meetings, and training days, as required.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Staffing operates 52 weeks a year, excluding Christmas and bank holidays, when the nursery remains open to provide care for our students.

Who We Are Looking For
We seek caring, energetic, and reliable early years professionals, ideally qualified to at least:
- NVQ Level 2
- C&DL (Counsel & Development Learning)
- NNEB (National Nursery Examination Board)
- CACHE (compared qualifications)
- or an equivalent certification, alongside experience in an Early Years setting.
You will demonstrate:
- Effective communication with both children and adults.
- Strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.
- Understanding and application of the Key Person system in early years.
- Hands-on adaptability—committed to supporting children’s development through creative and structured activities.
- Enthusiasm for personal care, learning support, and fostering a positive team atmosphere.
- Passion for making a meaningful difference in young children’s lives.
