We’re looking for a Nursery Practitioner to join our passionate team at Head Start Day Nursery in Milton Keynes.
About the Role
As a Nursery Practitioner you will:
- Be hands-on with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and play-based learning
- Foster a curious, happy, and thriving environment where children develop confidence and confidence
- Support the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum with engaging and age-appropriate activities
- Play a key role in promoting the nursery’s quality standards through environment, resources, and experiences
- Mentor students, junior staff, and colleague
Key Responsibilities
- Provide individual care and support for assigned children while maintaining a warm and welcoming space
- Prepare and deliver stimulating, age-appropriate activities that encourage curiosity
- Contribute to effective day-to-day management of your room while ensuring adherence to Early Years policies
- Maintain strong collaboration with parents and carers, fostering open communication
- Support team cohesion and participatory leadership, especially when the Team/Room Leader is unavailable
Salary £13,396.90 – £14,212 per annum (grade 34, Band R) – subject to business requirements and employee experience
Hours Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 8:30am to 3:00pm Tuesday: 8:30am to 1:30pm (Term Time Only)
Note: At least seven terms' service required for above salary

** Qualification & Skills**
- Preferred candidates have a Level 3 Early Years Practitioner qualification, on track for level 2, or equivalent childcare focus certificates

- Ability to work as part of a team or autonomously to deliver a high-quality childcare experience
