Your Responsibilities

As Room Leader, you’ll balance hands-on childcare with inspirational leadership:

  • Curriculum Leadership – Direct the planning and execution of age-appropriate play-based learning per EYFS & Montessori frameworks.
  • Safe & Inclusive Environment – Ensure the setting is stimulating, secure, and tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Team Empowerment – Mentor and collaborate with staff to meet quality standards.
  • Child Wellbeing Advocacy – Track developmental progress, and share updates with families.
  • Key Person Role – Build confident, trusting relationships as the primary carer for a group of children.
  • Health & Safety Champion – Oversee compliance with Ofsted & CQC requirements—maintaining cleanliness and safety.

What We Look for

You’ll thrive here with:

  • Qualifications:

    • Level 3 + in early years education (e.g., Early Years Teacher Status (EYTS), Level 3 Diploma).
    • Experience preferably as a Nursery Room Leader, Manager, or Practitioner—adequate supervisory experience must be evidenced.
  • Skills & Passion:

    • Leadership and clear motivation to raise standards in early education.
    • Organisational and strong communication skills to manage teams and families.
    • Durable enthusiasm for unlocking children’s confidence, imagination, and independence.
