Nursery Room Leader

Room Leader – Busy Bees Early Years

We’re seeking an inspirational and experienced Room Leader to join our passionate team at Busy Bees Cheltenham Prestbury Road, a nurturing nursery setting committed to supporting young children’s growth and development.

About the Role

You’ll take on a leadership position—overseeing multiple rooms, shaping educational strategies, and fostering an environment where every child thrives. Your mission? To create high standards of care, learning, and collaboration while empowering your team to deliver outstanding outcomes.

Educational Leadership

  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities, ensuring alignment with our early years curriculum.
  • Cultivate a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment where every child can flourish.

Team Management

  • Lead and foster a high-performing team through supportive leadership, collaboration, and mentorship.
  • Create and uphold team wellbeing and performance.

Childcare & Development

  • Oversee child development tracking and partner with families to celebrate progress.
  • Dedicated Key Person role—build nurturing relationships and support personalised care plans for your group.
  • Keep ahead of health and safety standards, with a focus on training and compliance.

Wellbeing & Inclusivity

  • Model a culture that values diversity, respect, and community engagement (e.g., care home visits, community partnerships).

Requirements

We’re looking for candidates with:

  • A relevant Level 3 qualification (or above) in early years education.
  • Experience in a nursery setting—preferably with supervisory experience (as a Room Leader, Manager, or Practitioner leader).
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to communicate effectively with both colleagues and parents.
  • Passion and creativity in driving young children’s learning and development.
  • A true commitment to partnership working—collaborating closely with families while delivering safety and inclusivity.
