Nursery Room Leader (Level 3)

Key Responsibilities

  • Supporting the team to perform at a high standard while maintaining adherence to legislation and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) frameworks
  • Collaboration with staff to create inspirational, creative, and effective learning environments tailored to children’s needs
  • Encouraging a happy, family-like atmosphere within the nursery
  • Ensuring safety and welfare through an in-depth understanding of safeguarding processes and procedures
  • Implementing the EYFS framework, with strong knowledge of child development
  • Reporting concerns promptly to senior staff or relevant services
  • Building partnerships with parents and colleagues to support children’s growth
  • Maintaining a positive and welcoming attitude towards children, parents, colleagues, and visitors
  • Ensuring clear, accurate record-keeping and report writing
  • Promoting the highest standards in nursery practice, environment, and resources

Skills, Knowledge, and Expertise

Essentials:

  • Minimum full Early Years Educator (Level 3) qualification with ** NVQ Level 3 or equivalent**
  • Knowledge of safeguarding practices
  • At least 2 years of experience as a nursery practitioner or in a similar role within an Early Years setting
