Full-time Permanent
- Salary: £14.90 per hour
- Contracted Hours: 40 hours per week

About The Role
The Room Leader oversees the educational and social development of children aged 0–5, ensuring they thrive in a safe, engaging environment. Key responsibilities include:

- Supporting play-based learning and social skill development.
- Creating age-appropriate activities that build curiosity and growth.
- Maintaining a structured daily routine balancing play, learning, and rest.
- Collaborating with staff to deliver high standards of early-years care.
What Does The Role Involve?
- Manage & support team members in the childcare setting.
- Delegate responsibilities to ensure efficient workflows.
- Mentor & train staff to uphold rigorous care and education standards.
- Design and deliver early-years learning activities.
- Organise schedules, ensuring balance between play, rest, and engagement.
- Create safe, stimulating environments with curriculum-aligned displays.
- Develop individual learning plans tailored to each child’s needs.
Requirements
- Early Years Qualification (Level 3 or above).
- Leadership & organisational skills for managing teams.
- Previous experience in early-years settings.
- Strong communication with both children and adults.

Safeguarding Requirements:
- Must hold (or obtain) an enhanced DBS check (own costs if needed).
- Cannot be on the Children’s Barred List.
- Full background and reference checks will be conducted.
