Room Manager Role

As a Room Manager at N Family, you’ll lead a team of expert Educators in one of our nursery family rooms. As a specialist in early years education, you’ll drive passionate, innovative teaching. You’ll be an inspirational leader, supporting colleagues to reach their goals and giving every child the best of care.

Key Responsibilities

🔹 Leadership & Team Culture

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where the team thrives.
  • Champion outstanding care and education—inspiring colleagues to deliver their best daily.

🔹 Curriculum & Child Development

  • Lead our ethos: "learning through play" and the N Curriculum.
  • Shape daily routines (mealtimes, naptimes, playtimes) for smooth transitions.
  • Support team planning, observation, and high-quality learning experiences for every child.

Requirements & Qualifications

✔ Experience

  • Previous experience working with children (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, or early-years educator).
  • For Baby Room Managers: prior experience with children under 2 years.
  • Proven ability to lead and coach teams.
  • Leadership in exceptional customer care.

✔ Qualifications

  • Full, relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
  • Paediatric First Aid (12-hour course) + compliance.
  • Up-to-date safeguarding/child protection training; willingness to renew annually.

✔ Mindset & Values

  • Genuine passion for education and changing young lives.
  • A positive, proactive attitude (“glass half-full mindset”).
  • Drive, motivation, and “make it happen” mentality.
  • Solid decision-making skills aligned with our WIGs.

  • £31,346 - £34,778 per year. Plus, a performance bonus of up to £1,200/year.
