As a Room Manager at N Family, you’ll:

  • Lead an incredible team of expert Educators in one of our nursery family rooms.
  • Serve as a specialist in early years education, the driving force behind passionate, innovative teaching.
  • Be an inspirational leader, supporting every colleague to reach their goals and delivering best-of-care for every child.
  • In a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment, drive our Wildly Important Goals (WIG) forward to help us achieve our vision of becoming the most loved early years education group in the UK.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment where everyone can thrive as a team.
  • Lead our ‘learning through play’ ethos and N Curriculum with care and flair.
  • Act as a role model for outstanding care and education, inspiring your team.
  • Champion continuous improvement, keeping practice fresh, creative, and Outstandingly Outstanding.
  • Shape the daily routine of your room, ensuring smooth transitions from mealtimes to naptimes to playtimes.
  • Support your teammates in planning, observing, and delivering high-quality learning experiences for every child.
  • Coach, guide, and motivate your team through regular feedback and professional development.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with parents while keeping them involved in their children’s learning.
  • Embed and role-model safeguarding, health and safety, and wellbeing standards across your room.

Requirements & Qualifications

Our Room Managers should have:

  • Previous experience working with children in educational settings (ideally as a Room Leader, Third in Charge, or nursery practitioner, nursery nurse, or early years educator).
  • For Baby Room Managers, prior experience working with children under 2.
  • Experience in leading and coaching a team.
  • A proven track record in leading consistent and exceptional customer service.
  • The full and relevant Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above).
  • Paediatric First Aid qualification (12 hours) and a commitment to stay compliant.
  • Relevant safeguarding/child protection training, with a willingness to update it regularly.
  • A genuine passion for education and changing the lives of children.
  • A positive, glass-half-full outlook.
  • Drive, motivation, and a ‘make it happen’ attitude.
  • Strong decision-making skills to support and achieve our Wildly Important Goals (WIG).
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and execute under pressure.
