Smyths Toy Superstores is Europe's top toy retailer specialising in toys, software, outdoor and nursery products.
We are currently recruiting flexible Temporary Nursery Sales Assistants to join our fast-paced, dynamic team!
As a Nursery Sales Assistant, you will be the welcoming face of the department—delivering exceptional customer service, supporting daily team targets, and keeping our displays well-stocked and beautifully presented.
What The Role Entails
- Customer Service: Face-to-face interaction with customers, helping them select the perfect nursery products for their needs.
- Product Advice: Advising customers on a wide range of items, including travel systems, pushchairs, cot beds, and mattresses.
- Car Seat Demonstrations: Assisting customers in finding and demonstrating the correct car seat for their specific child and vehicle requirements.
- Department Presentation: Ensuring products are stocked, tidy, and looking their best at all times.
- Till Operation: Operating the till when needed to ensure a smooth checkout experience (full training provided).
- Flexibility Across Store: Assisting on the main shop floor and in other departments to support the wider store during busy trading periods.

Experience & Training
No prior nursery experience? No problem! Full, comprehensive training will be provided for all product knowledge, car seat fittings, and till systems.
Desirable: Previous experience in retail sales, customer service and nursery product knowledge is a definite bonus, but confidence and a passion for helping people are what matter most!
Our Stores are open 7 days a week and we need our Sales Assistants to be as flexible as possible to ensure that it succeeds. Weekends are our busiest trading days so it is likely that you will be required to work on these days.

NOTE - This is a temporary contract, with a rate of pay of £12.90 per hour for over 21 and £11.00 per hour for under 21.
