Nursery Teacher: Maternity Cover
Location: Roehampton, SW15
Start Date: September
Contract: Full-time Maternity Cover
Salary: MPS (dependent on experience)
A welcoming and nurturing mainstream primary school in Roehampton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team on a full-time maternity cover contract from September.
This is a fantastic opportunity to become part of a supportive school community that places a strong emphasis on providing high-quality early years education. The successful candidate will lead a well-established Nursery class, creating an engaging, stimulating, and nurturing environment where children can flourish during the earliest stages of their education.

The Role Will Involve
- Full classroom responsibilities including planning, assessment, marking, and reporting
- Delivering creative, engaging, and play-based learning in line with the EYFS Framework
- Supporting children's communication, language, social, and emotional development
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Working closely with support staff, parents, and the wider school community to ensure excellent outcomes for pupils
- Attending staff meetings and contributing to the wider life of the school

The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within Early Years, ideally within a Nursery setting
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Be nurturing, creative, and passionate about early childhood education
- Have excellent classroom management and organizational skills
- Have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
