Nursery Teacher: Maternity Cover

A welcoming and nurturing mainstream primary school in Roehampton is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Nursery Teacher to join their Early Years team on a full-time maternity cover contract starting in September.

The Role Will Involve
- Full classroom responsibilities, including planning, assessment, marking, and reporting
- Delivering creative, engaging, and play-based learning aligned with the EYFS Framework
- Supporting children’s communication, language, social, and emotional development
- Creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
- Collaborating with support staff, parents, and the wider school community to ensure outstanding outcomes for pupils
- Attending staff meetings and contributing to school life
The Ideal Candidate Will
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Have experience teaching within Early Years, ideally in a Nursery setting
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the EYFS curriculum
- Be nurturing, creative, and passionate about early childhood education
- Possess excellent classroom management and organisational skills
- Have a thorough understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures
