Wigan School Nursing Service are looking for passionate individuals to join our team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic Nursing Associate working within the School Nursing Service. We welcome applications from qualified, Nursing Associates who may be looking for a change of location and a new challenge.
The role of the Nursing Associate is to work as part of the multi-professional team, delivering evidence-based public health care that focuses on the needs of the population within the service. The Nursing Associate contributes to the ongoing assessment of the child/young person and the school community, providing and monitoring care in line with service pathways, as agreed with the supervising Community Staff Nurse or Specialist Community Public Health Nurse.

The Nursing Associate will work as part of the children’s 0-19 universal service, contributing to the provision of high-quality services for children, young people and families working within the Healthy Child Programme framework and the Best Start in Life priorities. Supporting the delivery of national and local public health agendas in response to identified health needs, working in partnership with partner agencies to meet agreed standards, objectives and statutory requirements.
Nursing Associates are equipped with the knowledge, understanding, skills, attitudes and behaviours relevant to employment; and will act in accordance with the NMC Code: Professional standards of practice and behaviour for nurses, midwives and nursing associates
