About the Organisation
Water’s Edge Center for Health & Rehabilitation is a 150-bed skilled nursing facility with stable leadership, including a long-serving Director of Nursing. The centre ranks #1 in PDPM/CMI performance out of 24 National Health Care Associates facilities in Connecticut and is set to commence a $4 million renovation project.
This role has arisen following the retirement of its long-serving Administrator—an organisational leader whose dedication has left a lasting mark.
Role: Nursing Home Administrator
As the Chief Executive and Entrepreneurial Leader of Water’s Edge, you will:
- Develop and execute a strategy for operational excellence and growth, ensuring mission-aligned goals.
- Shape a high-performance culture that prioritises excellence in care delivery, resident satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Hold 24-hour accountability for delivering high-quality, cost-effective healthcare with positive clinical outcomes, resident satisfaction, and employee engagement.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of facility operations, including staffing, budgeting, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and inspire a multidisciplinary team, including clinical staff (nursing, Allied Health), and non-clinical support staff.
- Drive strategic initiatives to increase market share and grow the business.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with residents, families, and the broader community.
- Cultivate a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with peers, corporate leadership, and stakeholders to achieve facility and organisational goals.

Requirements
To excel as a Nursing Home Administrator, we seek candidates who meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Licensure: Licensed Nursing Home Administrator (LNHA) in the state of operation.
- Experience: Proven track record as an LNHA in a skilled nursing facility, with for-profit experience preferred.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of long-term care regulatory requirements and standards of care.
- Leadership Mindset: Visionary with a focus on innovation and quality improvement.
- Care-Focus: Commitment to resident-centred care quality.
- Competence in meeting the physical, emotional, and social needs of elderly and chronic illness patients.
- Strong leadership, organisational, and decision-making skills.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, team-based, fast-paced environment.
