An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 3 Nursing Support worker to join the Hepatology team at Glangwili Hospital.
The post is for 15 hours per week. The post holder will work as part of a team of nurses and will be required to carry out a range of duties in relation to Fibroscan clinics and will be supervised by a registered nurse.
Due to service developments, there may be an occasional need to work in other sites, and being able to travel between sites is an essential part of the role.
Main duties of the job
To work as part of the Hepatology team, delivering care to patients, undertaking delegated tasks with appropriate supervision from a registered healthcare practitioner Contribute to delivering a high-quality service for patients with liver disease and their families, with an aim to achieve equity of health outcomes, following the Liver Disease Implementation Network. To provide clinic support for the Hepatology Fibroscan service, this includes undertaking the Fibroscan and completing the relevant documentation involved in the running of the clinic
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Our services are provided in:
Four main hospitals: Bronglais Hospital in Aberystwyth; Glangwili Hospital in Carmarthen; Prince Philip Hospital in Llanelli; and Withybush Hospital in Haverfordwest. Five community hospitals: Amman Valley and Llandovery hospitals in Carmarthenshire; Tregaron Hospital in Ceredigion; and Tenby and South Pembrokeshire hospitals in Pembrokeshire. Two integrated care centres: Aberaeron and Cardigan in Ceredigion, and several other community settings. 47 general practices (six of which are health board managed practices); dental practices (including four orthodontic); 97 community pharmacies; 43 general ophthalmic practices; and 8 ophthalmic domiciliary providers. Numerous mental health and learning disabilities services.
