Nutrition Care Specialist - Lab Department
Milk Technician
Position Details
- Hours: 40 hours/week
- Shift Schedule: Rotating 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM and 11:30 AM – 10:00 PM
Position Summary
The Milk Technician is responsible for carrying out daily operating procedures at the Milk Depot, including:
- Receiving expressed breast milk
- Processing enteral feeding orders
- Preparing breast milk and formula feedings
- Delivering prepared feedings to patient units
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: High School diploma, GED, Certificate of Completion, or equivalent
- Basic Skills: Ability to perform mathematical measurements and prepare formula according to Recipe
- Technical Knowledge:
- Ability to follow human milk and formula preparation procedures correctly
- Expertise and experience with aseptic technique

Compensation
- Salary Range: $16.25/hour – $25.99/hour (commensurate with experience)
- Note: Salaries for roles outside the provided range will be discussed during early stages of hiring to ensure equity and fairness.
Important: The hospital reserves the right to adjust employee schedules as necessary.
