Job Description – Sonographer (Southend)
Hey Baby 4D is a private 4D ultrasound clinic based in Southend. We are currently seeking an experienced and registered sonographer to work with us, performing obstetric and gynaecology scans to our customers.
The Sonographer will promote a patient-focused approach to care, ensuring all clinical and client areas are safe, welcoming, and fit for purpose. You will be required to work with complex and sensitive information, act as a patient advocate, and consistently maintain patient dignity and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
- Conducting a wide range of prenatal scans, including early pregnancy reassurance and dating scans, through to late pregnancy 4D scans
- Producing high-quality ultrasound images and videos
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and making appropriate, high-quality referrals where required
- Carrying out phlebotomy services for NIPT screening (training can be provided if not already phlebotomy trained)
- Working closely with the management team to ensure a premium client experience
- Ensuring a consistently high standard of patient care at all times
- Maintaining excellent standards of cleanliness, infection control, and hygiene throughout the clinic

Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, you must be a qualified and experienced Sonographer with a strong understanding of ultrasound best practice. You must be registered with HCPC (Health and Care Professions Council), NMC (Nursing & Midwifery Council), GMC (General Medical Council), or BMUS (British Medical Ultrasound Society).

The Successful Applicant Will Demonstrate
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A compassionate, patient-centred approach
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- The ability to provide suitable professional references

Salary: £42,000 - £45,000
