About The Role
You’ll join a specialist security team trusted by governments worldwide, protecting critical national infrastructure. This role involves leveraging your operational, ILS (Information Library Services), and technical expertise to enhance customer satisfaction by:
- Understanding stakeholder needs and expectations
- Supporting the BT ILS Manager in shaping a strong employee experience through team/customer data analytics
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Implement Obsolescence Management Programme (OMP) processes, maintaining contractual documentation and programme plans.
- Ensure timely completion of tasks and OMP reports, including regular reporting to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with internal/external stakeholders to establish an effective obsolescence management service.
- Build and maintain relationships within the supply chain network for higher program efficiency.

Essential Skills & Experience
- Proven experience in writing secure technical ILS documentation for defence or high-security programmes.
- Comprehensive working knowledge of industry standards:
- IEC 62402, SD-22, Def Stan 00-600, Defence Logistics (DLF), JSP 886
- Expertise in Obsolescence Management programmes, ideally with significant program-level responsibility.
- Experience collaborating with design engineering teams and navigating technical/commercial interfaces.
- Technical stakeholder management with customers, partners, and suppliers.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite.
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Familiarity with Sovereignty programmes (e.g. UK defence critical projects).
- Membership of the International Institute of Obsolescence Management (IIOM).
Security Clearance Requirement
Due to the role’s sensitive nature, you’ll be required to complete DV (Developed Vetting) Security Clearance Check (a UK Government process).
- If successful, a £5,000/annum allowance will be provided while cleared and employed.
- Conditions will be confirmed post-selection.
