Looking for a role where your attention to detail, communication skills, and operational knowledge genuinely make a difference? As our next Quality Performance Advisor, you’ll be at the heart of ensuring our customers receive the safe, reliable service they depend on.

This 10‑month secondment offers the chance to build strong relationships across Operations, support multiple workstreams, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our service delivery.

We deliver safety, warmth, and comfort to homes and businesses. Every role, whether in the office or on the front line, plays a key part in this mission. Here’s how you will contribute…

  • Ensuring delivery of emergency and metering work in accordance with codes of practice, legislation, current policies, and procedures.
  • Delivering excellent customer service and act as SGN representative with internal and external customers, service providers, and stakeholders.
  • Working to the required quality standards.
  • Develop strong working relationships with Operations and other SGN staff.
  • Actively manage workloads across emergency, metering, and repair workstreams.
  • Provide cover for Team Manager(s), supervise the team including managing operational workload, team briefs, and routine queries.

What You Will Need

  • Candidates will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of the SGN, policies, procedures, processes alongside those that are specific to OCC.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills are essential, as well as accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Good leadership, organisational, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills, and ability to act on your own initiative.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Highly motivated with a flexible and positive approach to work.
  • Skilled and experienced in working to tight deadlines and responding to continuous changing priorities at short notice.
