About The Role
We are looking to recruit an Occupational Health Technician to join the Manufacturing Support team based in Barton-upon-Humber. Although the role will be based at our Head Office, the successful candidate will be working across all 5 manufacturing sites. The shift pattern will be Monday to Friday, and the working hours will vary.
Main Responsibilities:
- Undertaking relevant health surveillance activities on site, including audiometry, spirometry, vision testing, hand-arm vibration, and blood pressure monitoring
- Accurately record and maintain confidential medical information in-line with data protection requirements and company standards
- Ensuring all testing equipment is regularly checked, cleaned, calibrated, and maintained in a safe and serviceable condition
- Maintaining an up-to-date knowledge of occupational health legislation, guidance, and best practice
- Manage first aid stock across all sites, ensuring adequate supplies are maintained and replenished
- Working closely with the HR and Health & Safety teams to create personal risk assessments for relevant employees
- Promoting the occupational health initiative across the business by organizing and supporting awareness campaigns and events
- Undertaking additional tasks as requested such as face fit testing, visual and behavioural observations, and isocyanate exposure sample collection

About You
Desired Skills and Knowledge:
- Previous experience in a medical or occupational health environment is essential.
- A working knowledge of occupational health testing, including audiometry, spirometry, and vision screening, is desirable
- A good knowledge of ISO standards is desirable, enabling the candidate to carry out management system tasks in accordance with their requirements
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- IT literate
- Ability to maintain good working relationships with employees and managers
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Flexibility in terms of location and shift pattern is required
- Driving License is essential
