Experienced Occupational Health Technician – PAM Occupational Health Solutions

A fantastic opportunity has arisen within PAM Occupational Health Solutions for an Occupational Health Technician to join our OH Screening Team within the Private/Public sector, supporting a portfolio of well-established clients.

You will be peripatetic covering Glasgow and remote and central Scotland areas, must have a willingness to travel.

Salary based on experience and will have a yearly car allowance.

This is an 8.5-hour working day (7 clinical hours), delivering a full remit of screening services across a wide range of clients and industries. Occasional late shifts (with enhanced pay) will be required.

You will play a key role in supporting the success of the Occupational Health Screening division, working collaboratively with regional colleagues, clinicians, and client services teams to deliver safe, effective, and high-quality occupational health services.

The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering Occupational Health services across various contracts, including construction and the food industry. The role includes providing high-quality health screening and engaging confidently with employees and managers to build strong relationships and support wellbeing initiatives.

We are particularly keen to attract candidates who bring experience or a strong interest in employee wellbeing and who are confident in delivering presentations or wellbeing content in a professional setting.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

  • Conduct all aspects of health surveillance and fitness for work/safety critical medicals in line with client requirements
  • Carry out drug and alcohol screening
  • Ensure all documentation is uploaded accurately to OHIO
  • Maintain data in line with Data Protection principles
  • Maintain strict confidentiality at all times
  • Meet and exceed KPI targets
  • Ensure consistency and quality of service delivery
  • Monitor OHIO compliance to ensure data accuracy and completeness
  • Deliver an excellent customer experience
  • Ensure compliance with company accreditations (ISO 9001, ISO 27001, SEQOHS, RISQS, IIP)
  • Ensure all medical equipment is calibrated and safety tested
  • Provide support and guidance to new team members
  • Ensure appropriate escalation of issues
  • Collaborate effectively with the wider Occupational Health Team
  • Support and contribute to workplace wellbeing initiatives, including delivery of health promotion and awareness sessions
  • Present wellbeing or health-related information confidently to employees and client groups where required

Skills, Experience & Qualifications

  • Sports Science qualification (or similar) or Occupational Health Technician experience delivering screening/medicals (desirable but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to manage client interactions effectively
  • Highly organised and process-driven approach
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with teams to achieve results
  • Customer-focused with a results-oriented mindset
  • IT literate
  • Ability to collate, prepare, and deliver wellbeing content
  • Experience or confidence in delivering presentations, briefings, or group sessions (particularly related to health or wellbeing)
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Commitment to delivering high standards within a professional services environment
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality
  • Good report writing skills
  • Interest in or experience supporting employee wellbeing programmes or initiatives

Working Hours

  • Monday – Friday
  • 40 hours per week
  • UK travel required (training, cover, and client delivery), with efforts made to minimise this where possible
