Occupational Therapist

Inspire Neurocare place the people we support at the heart of our service, and our main aim is to empower recovery and restore lives by providing life changing neurorehabilitation and specialist care for people living with complex neurological conditions, brain and spinal injuries, strokes, early onset dementia and progressive neurological conditions.

No two days are ever the same. Our services are highly specialised, but highly varied, whether providing short-term specialist rehabilitation to increase people's independence, long-term complex care, or end-of-life care, we respond to the needs of each and every individual.

We are looking for a part-time Occupational Therapist to join our knowledgeable and talented team at our Farnborough service. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge within a varied and complex neurological caseload.

What You Will Be Doing

In liaison with the Therapy Lead, the role is responsible for delivering Occupational Therapy services to all residents and clients, while supporting the delivery of Occupational Therapy service in line with Codes of Practice.

This includes ongoing monitoring, support, and assessment of residents’ physical and psychological needs, as well as maintaining concise records and producing reports for each resident’s case review.

The role also involves undertaking assessments of daily living skills to determine functional ability, identify risks, and establish appropriate levels of support. Additionally, it requires liaising with external organisations for equipment provision, such as wheelchair services, and ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of all Occupational Therapy equipment.

A key aspect of the role is promoting residents’ personal and social skills and encouraging participation in leisure activities, while maintaining regular, empathetic communication with relatives and carers by providing information, support, and advice as needed.

We’re Looking For Occupational Therapist’s With

You should have a current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HPCP) or a recognised degree or qualification in Occupational Therapy. At least one years’ post-registration experience working as an Occupational Therapist Proven specialist experience of treating adults with complex neurological conditions (e.g. Brain and Spinal injuries, stroke, early onset dementia and progressive neurological conditions) Confidence in both specialist assessments and complex intervention planning. Have excellent communications skills to be able to clearly share information with residents and fellow employees. Be able to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals A great attitude to teamwork and a desire to lead on patient care. You to have commitment to ongoing professional development and service improvement.
