Occupational Therapist
Specialist Occupational Therapist – Greenwich ADAPT Service
We’re offering an exciting opportunity to join the Greenwich ADAPT service, delivering evidence-based pathways and support for Greenwich residents through:
- Personalised interventions that improve daily living
- Enhanced social engagement
- Vocational skill development
This role focuses on helping individuals regain independence and improve their quality of life. As a key member of our talented Occupational Therapy team, you’ll shape, deliver, and evaluate interventions—contributing to recovery, inclusion, and empowerment.
The position is based in the Greenwich Community Mental Health Services (ADAPT pathway), covering support for patients in Anxiety, Depression, Personality Disorder, and Trauma.
Key Responsibilities
Core Duties
- Conduct comprehensive occupational needs assessments for referred service users
- Co-produce personalised recovery goals with individuals
- Design and deliver tailored interventions aligned with care plans
- Lead group Therapy sessions focusing on:
- Recovery
- Empowerment
- Readiness for discharge (where appropriate)
- Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) to identify functional needs and enhance clinical outcomes

Contributing to Service Development
- Provide occupational therapy perspectives on service design within the ADAPT pathway
- Support the development of treatment protocols to address service users’ needs
About You – Essential Requirements
- ** Extensive mental health experience**, specialising in occupational therapy interventions
- A strong commitment to recovery-based practice and inclusivity
- Passion for integrating OT models and measurable outcomes into daily work
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, collaborative healthcare environment
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills to influence multi-disciplinary approaches
