About the Role
Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join Maple House School, working within an independent specialist school supporting children and young people aged 5–19 with autism and related social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Key Details
The role involves working within a specialist educational environment to support pupils with autism spectrum conditions and associated SEMH needs. Your responsibilities will include providing occupational therapy assessments and interventions focused on:

Responsibilities
- Manage a paediatric caseload within a specialist school setting
- Complete functional, sensory, and developmental assessments
- Develop and implement individualised therapy programmes
- Support pupils with sensory regulation and SEMH-related needs
- Work closely with teaching staff, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Contribute to Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and educational outcomes
- Provide staff training on therapeutic strategies and interventions
- Maintain accurate clinical records and reports

Requirements
- HCPC registration
- Experience in paediatric occupational therapy, ideally within Special Educational Needs (SEN) or specialist education settings
- Knowledge of autism, SEMH, and sensory processing needs
- Ability to work independently within an educational environment
- Strong communication and organisational skills
