Occupational Therapist – Children & Young People Disability Team

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for an Occupational Therapist (OT) to join a Children and Young People Disability Team based in Medway on a permanent basis. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality Occupational Therapy services for children and young people aged 0–18, enabling them to achieve positive outcomes and maximise independence.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver effective Occupational Therapy (OT) interventions within a strength-based, personalised approach
- Carry out high-quality OT assessments and apply clinical reasoning to identify appropriate solutions
- Recommend and implement:
- Equipment
- Enablement techniques
- Minor and major adaptations (including the use of Disabled Facilities Grants)
- Promote safety and independence within the home and community
- Work collaboratively with internal and external partners to improve service user outcomes
- Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with professional standards

Additional Responsibilities
- Promote work-life balance and flexible working practices

- Ensure compliance with Health and Safety regulations
- Support the Council’s responsibilities under the Crime and Disorder Act 1998

Requirements
- Relevant Occupational Therapy qualification
- HCPC registration
- Experience working with children and/or within a disability setting (desirable)
- Full UK driving licence and access to own car
