An exciting opportunity for an experienced Occupational Therapist
Working within the community Occupational Therapy service, you'll deliver high-quality, evidence-based, person-centred interventions that help adults and older people maximise their independence, safety, and quality of life.
You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary team, completing specialist assessments, recommending equipment and housing adaptations, and supporting individuals to achieve meaningful outcomes within their own homes and communities.
What will your responsibilities be?
- Manage a varied and complex community caseload independently.
- Complete functional and occupational therapy assessments.
- Recommend and arrange specialist equipment and major/minor housing adaptations.
- Carry out manual handling assessments and develop safe handling plans.
- Develop person-centred intervention and support plans.
- Work closely with health, social care, voluntary, and independent sector partners.
- Provide advice, education, and support to service users, families, and carers.
- Supervise and delegate work to Occupational Therapy Assistants where appropriate.
- Maintain accurate records and reports in line with HCPC and local authority standards.

Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy.
- Current HCPC registration.
- Experience working with adults and older people in a community or local authority setting.
- Strong knowledge of equipment provision, moving and handling, and housing adaptations.
- Excellent assessment, communication, and case management skills.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the community.
