Occupational Therapist Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for Occupational Therapist to join the new and transformational Intergrated Neighbourhood team-South (INT). The trust along with Coventry City Council and Coventry and Warwickshire Partnership Trust have designed and developed 6 neighbourhood teams across the city of Coventry which are supported by multi-professional teams offering a holistic and integrated approach to urgent community needs for the residents of Coventry.

INT is one of the Trust’s fundamental purposes, as set out in our refreshed strategy for 2022-2030; ‘More than a hospital’. The Trust has an ambition to deliver improvements in the health and wellbeing of our local populations through collaboration with partners across the health and social care system. The role of Occupational Therapist is key to the successful delivery of this exciting and transformational service aimed to improve the health and wellbeing of the Coventry population.

Requirements

  • Full valid UK driving license is essential for this post, please note an international driving license is not accepted.

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialist Occupational Therapy assessment, treatment and review of patients with a wide variety of conditions including neurological, orthopaedic, musculoskeletal, care of the elderly, respiratory and falls, to reduce unnecessary hospital admissions, contribute to effective admission avoidance and support patients with complex health care needs. This will be for patients predominantly in their place of residence, but will include short term placements and other settings.
  • Provide advice and guidance to others, patients, carers and staff working in health and social care.
  • Support professional development of the staff within the INT and other services as appropriate.
  • Support and contribute toward service development and meeting Key Performance Indicators.
  • Participate in 7 day working rotas to ensure delivery of key services.
