Occupational Therapist - Housing

Salary: Grade 11, £42,839 per annum

Hours: 37 hours

Location: Sardis House, Pontypridd

An exciting opportunity for an Occupational Therapist is available within the Housing team to deliver comprehensive, person-centred occupational therapy services to promote independence, wellbeing, and inclusion for applicants and their households seeking rehousing across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

  • The post holder will work with the Homefinder service and the Common Housing Register partners to assess the adaptation needs of applicants seeking rehousing.
  • The post holder will work with the Homefinder service and the Common Housing Register partners to assess the suitability of properties offered.
  • The post holder will also make recommendations to the Homefinder service and the Common Housing Register partners regarding the suitability of new build properties at the planning / development stage of the build.
  • The post holder will manage a defined caseload, working flexibly and collaboratively with individuals and partner agencies using specialist assessment, evidence-based interventions, and robust risk management processes.
