Occupational Therapist

Occupational Therapist – Kestrel House School, London (N8 9EA)

Are you looking for an employer who can offer growth and development in your occupational therapy career while allowing you to work within a friendly, multidisciplinary team in a rewarding education setting?

At Outcomes First Group (OFG), we believe in creative, flexible approaches to occupational therapy—supporting pupils’ independence within specialist educational provision. We’re committed to fostering a nurturing environment where **neurodivergent young people (aged 5–16) with SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health) needs or experiences of developmental trauma can thrive.

Join a team consistently recognised as a ‘Great Place to Work’ for six consecutive years, and benefit from:

  • A welcoming, collaborative culture with a dedicated occupational therapy caseload
  • Regular training and professional development, including participation in clinical networks and research projects
  • £2,000 CPD training allowance to tailor your growth post-probation
  • Expansive "Your Wellbeing Matters" support, including mental health resources and health checks
  • Life assurance, competitive pension scheme and tailored parental support
  • £50,000+ (up to £53,200 FTE) with a £5,000 Welcome Bonus (two payments of £2,500 at key milestones)
  • Flexible benefits, including cycle/leasing schemes and electric car purchases

The Role

You’ll contribute as part of our multidisciplinary clinical team at Kestrel House School, a specialist education setting supporting young people with autism, neurodivergent traits, and SEMH needs. Your responsibilities will include:

Key Duties:

  • Deliver bespoke OT assessment and intervention, supporting pupils’ independence and emotional regulation within the OFG “Ways of Working” framework
  • Conduct assessments tailored to the individual needs of neurodivergent, SEMH or developmentally traumatised pupils
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCo, and wider clinical teams (therapists, psychologists) for person-centred interventions
  • Drive sensory-informed and trauma-responsive practices (training in sensory integration welcome but not essential)
  • Provide evidence-based reports and strategies for families, contributing to pupil personalisation and progress planning
  • Lead CPD-focused initiatives with the support of designated clinical supervisors and Lead Clinicians
  • Actively participate in a larger OFG OT network, sharing best practices and attending regular forums

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
