Occupational Therapist - Peterborough

Rotational Band 5 Occupational Therapist – North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated, and professional Occupational Therapist (Band 5) to join the therapy team within North West Anglia NHS Foundation Trust. This full-time, rotational post provides valuable experience across the acute inpatient setting, supporting the development of clinical and teaching skills.

This role sits within the wider Rehabilitation Service, consisting of Dietetics, Speech & Language Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physiotherapy, offering a well-established multi-disciplinary team environment.

Key Responsibilities

To contribute to the ongoing professional and clinical development of the Occupational Therapist role through:

  • Providing patient-centred care in rotating acute inpatient areas.
  • Acting as a valuable member of the multidisciplinary team (MDT).
  • Developing clinical expertise across a range of specialties with full support.
  • Engaging in service development initiatives under guidance.

  • Orthopaedics (2 rotations)
  • Stroke
  • Combined Medicine, Critical Care & Surgery

Additional Requirements of the Role

The successful candidate will be required to:

  • Work across multiple NHS sites as part of the rotation (cross-site collaboration is essential).
  • Communicate effectively with all members of the MDT.
  • Accept regular placements across varying specialties during the rotational period.
