About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join our Older People’s Mental Health Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful difference to the lives of older adults experiencing mental health, cognitive and memory difficulties. Working as part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will use your clinical expertise to promote independence, improve quality of life and deliver person-centred care. Key Responsibilities
- Provide specialist occupational therapy assessment and intervention for older adults with mental health, cognitive and memory needs, supporting them to achieve their goals and maximise independence.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, contributing to assessment, rehabilitation, discharge planning and risk management.
- Ensure high-quality, person-centred care.
- Use evidence-based practice to inform clinical decision-making, support service development.
- Provide supervision and guidance to junior staff and students while promoting continuous learning and professional excellence.
