Are you passionate about Children's occupational therapy? Then look no further than our Band 6 Paediatric post.
The post will offer you the opportunity to continue to develop your skills in a range of assessment and intervention with children and young people within the Cwm Taf Morgannwg population.
Role Overview The post holder will be based at the Children Centre, Princess Of Wales Hospital, however, will have the opportunity to work across our other sites delivering robust intervention to a complex and varied caseload.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a complex and varied caseload, assessing, identifying, planning and providing highly specialist occupational therapy (OT) interventions for children with disabilities/developmental problems.
- Implementing the treatment plan with autonomy; taking sole responsibility for the patient’s safety when undertaking home visits/school and community work, and maintaining clinical records in accordance with legal requirements and professional standards.
- Providing leadership for junior staff, support staff and contributing to their development, as a delegated supervisor and regularly supervising OT students on practice placement.
- Working in partnership across the primary/secondary care interface with voluntary organisations, local authority and other appropriate health and social care sectors.
