An Exciting Opportunity for an Occupational Therapist

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic, and experienced Occupational Therapist to join the Trauma and Orthopaedic Integrated Therapy Team based at Ipswich Hospital. The team covers one elective ward, and two trauma wards: one being a general trauma ward, and the other being a fragility fracture ward.

About the Role

We are looking for a flexible, hardworking and reliable person who enjoys working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, with excellent communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work autonomously to carry out all aspects of the Occupational therapy process to patients.
  • Have an excellent understanding of relevant assessments and interventions, and complex discharge planning.
  • Manage a defined complex caseload under the management of the Team Leader, using evidence-based, client-centered principles to assess, plan and evaluate OT interventions, ensuring compliance with HCPC, CQC and Trust clinical and quality standards.
  • Ensure, as far as is reasonably practical, the safety of the patients in your care.
  • Supervise and assist in the development of junior OTs, non-qualified staff and students on placement.
  • Undertake audit of both clinical practice and processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
