Occupational Therapist

Band 6 Occupational Therapist – Addictions, Mental Health & Rehabilitation Location: Scotland Role Type: Locum Hours: 20 hours per week Salary: £28 per hour

The Role Cpl UK Healthcare are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a service in Scotland working across addictions, mental health, and rehabilitation pathways.

Details The role involves supporting adults with complex needs related to substance misuse, mental health conditions, and rehabilitation requirements. You will provide recovery-focused occupational therapy interventions aimed at improving functional independence, wellbeing, and community reintegration.

Responsibilities Manage a mental health and addictions OT caseload Complete functional, occupational, and psychosocial assessments Deliver recovery-focused interventions and rehabilitation programmes Support service users with daily living skills and structured routines Contribute to care planning, risk assessment, and discharge planning Work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and external agencies Maintain accurate clinical documentation and reports

Requirements HCPC registration Experience in mental health occupational therapy Knowledge of addictions and rehabilitation pathways (desirable) Ability to manage a caseload independently Strong communication and organisational skills
